Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative will have work place based in Wallisellen, Switzerland, with the ability to travel where required. They will engage directly with prospective customers and partners, in order to communicate the significant value of our Software Defined Mainframe Tools for their business and drive revenue growth by cultivating business relationships. They will contact and present our company to potential clients.


CORE PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The role is responsible for the realization and positive development of the sales goals across the Region. This role serves a critical function to build trusted and mutually beneficial relationships with the end-users of company technology.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and implementing new sales opportunities: Contact potential clients through cold calls, emails, social networks; Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Sales Director in Region / Management
  • Report to the Sales Director in Region/Chief Revenue Officer on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
  • Make regular contact with prospective customers in order to effectively communicate.
  • Manage existing customer relationships with a focus upon maximizing customer satisfaction; address any customer concerns and share relevant feedback cross-functionally
  • Work towards exceeding established sales goals for the company; partner with peers within the sales team to share knowledge and experience for the benefit of the cumulative group.
  • Provide all relevant data points and feedback gathered through sales interactions to appropriate internal stakeholders in the spirit of improving operations across the company.
  • Communicate as needed with internal departments to ensure understanding of the sales process in the field, in terms of matters which impact sales metrics.


CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role
  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in B2B business
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Strong technical skills
  • Strong foundation in technology or industry-related knowledge
  • Proven record of ability to learn new products and technologies quickly
  • Proven sales track record
